Me!

My name is Alex Douglas and I am a junior at Ohio university.  I was never a good writer throughout my life, in fact, I failed the writing portion of the OGT.  However, once I came to college, I learned that I was a satire writer.  In my essays I generally make numerous allusions to what can be considered inappropriate topics, such as Helen Keller or Terri Schiavo.  My unapologetic writing style works for some assignments and bombs for others.  My last teacher understood my humor and appreciated it.  I do fear in the future, people will not understand the finer nuances of satire, and will reject my work.  However, I hope to learn to make my rhetoric applicable for all audiences.  You only live once, YOLO.
